Important Message Concerning Children's Seasonal Flu Vaccine
Pentucket Medical Pediatrics has an important message about the seasonal flu vaccination.
Due to a supply shortage, we are forced to immunize certain high risk groups first.
- If your child is between 6 months and 5 years of age, or your child is over 5 and has a chronic illness such as asthma or heart disease; please call the office to make an appointment for a flu shot.
If your child is healthy, 5 years of age or older and has an appointment in October please call to cancel until more vaccine is made available. We will contact you when and if that happens.
In the meantime, you may want to try one of the large pharmacies such as CVS who will vaccinate children over 12 years of age.
As for the H1N1 Swine flu vaccine, we will contact eligible patients when we receive our supply. This information is available on our web site at www.pmaonline.com.
