Pentucket Medical’s Family Practice physicians see and treat patients of all ages. Family Practice looks to combine medical expertise with a deeper knowledge of you, the patient, over your lifetime and within the context of your family. We understand that the wellness of individuals and families can be highly interrelated. Our Family Practice physicians take the time to listen to you. We know that developing a relationship with you enhances the care you receive. We see healthcare as a partnership not only between you and the doctor but also with your family. Our physicians also know that when you are dealing with a chronic condition, your family plays an important role in motivating and encouraging your treatment. Dr. Ordonez explains, “You’re treating not only the individual patient or his or her disease, but also the whole family because you’re incorporating the patient’s entire background which inevitably involves the family unit.”

Our on-site laboratories make it equally easy for you to get the diagnostic tests that you need. The team approach to healthcare at Pentucket Medical means your Primary Care Physician talks to your specialist and that they are in agreement about your care. This also means that your Primary Care Physician has a fuller understanding of your healthcare needs. Pentucket Medical’s advanced Electronic Medical Record (EMR) ensures that everyone on your care team has the most recent information at all times.
Walk-in Center
At Pentucket Medical, we believe that you have a right to immediate care when you are sick. The Walk-in Center provides you with same-day service for minor illness such as, sore throat or flu symptoms when you are unable to schedule an appointment with your regular physician or do not have a doctor you see regularly. If you require a specific type of medical expertise, Pentucket Medical’s integrated system of care makes it easy for you to get a referral to a specialist. The Walk-In Center aims to provide timely, responsive treatment for your healthcare concerns in an environment that is more relaxed than an emergency room.
The Walk-in Center is located at RiverWalk, 500 Merrimack St. in Lawrence. An advance phone call is helpful, but not necessary. For your convenience, the Walk-in Center is open from 8:30am-6pm Monday through Friday, 9:00am-3:00pm on Saturday, and 10:00am-3:00pm on Sunday. You may contact the Walk-in Center at (978) 557-8900.
