Pentucket Medical ExpressCare at RiverWalk is open seven days a week to help you when you are feeling miserable but can’t get right in to see your regular physician. You do not have to be a Pentucket Medical patient to be treated at ExpressCare.

All of us at one time or another catch something or meet with an accident that requires medical attention. Whether it’s a twisted ankle, a flu, or a cut that’s too big for a bandaid, you will find a new, more fully integrated approach to walk-in treatment at Pentucket Medical ExpressCare.

Nowadays it’s usually impossible to get a same-day appointment with your primary care doctor. But your doctor does not have to be out of the loop: Our electronic medical record system ensures that the care we provide for you as a walk-in patient will be shared with your regular physician. It will almost be like having your own doctor in the room.

It is important to know that ExpressCare clinic is not an emergency room. If you have a truly serious medical need, call 911 and get yourself to a hospital. ExpressCare at RiverWalk has been designed to close the gap between primary and emergency care by offering prompt, unscheduled treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. And it’s economical: walk-in patients with health insurance often pay no more than an office-visit co-pay.

According ExpressCare physician Garrett Bomba, MD, “Pentucket Medical ExpressCare exists to provide treatment to patients who need to be seen right away. My role as an urgent care specialist is being their doctor, for a day, but working with the patient’s primary care physician.”

ExpressCare will be open seven days a week at Pentucket’s RiverWalk offices, 360 Merrimack St., Lawrence. Medical treatment will be provided 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays and 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sundays and holidays.

Pentucket Medical is contracted to provide services for most.
