“I joined the Peace Corps after college and served for two years in Belize, Central America. I was a high school teacher in Belize, and everyday I saw the need for quality health care. I also learned that I wanted to help people in my professional life. I’ve always had a strong interest in science and a deep commitment to community service. Primary care medicine is the perfect way for me to help people and use my clinical skills. I’m also a mother to three young boys, so spending time with my family is a big priority.”
